Listed below are the Milwaukee cast for the film. To those who may not know, I am a current resident of Wisconsin, so it was important to me to make sure that I am utilized local actors. Check out their bios below!

In 2017, Candy Parr made her debut in "Blind Dating on the Happy Hour", composed by local playwright Shawn Kempf. This was a sold out world premiere at the Lake Country Playhouse in Hartland, Wisconsin. Prior to this performance, she had held leading roles, monologues & MC at her church Crosspoint in Oconomowoc, WI. She is both honored and humbled to be performing in Cindy Mich's first short film.

Mark Symmonds began his acting career in 2012. While building his resume, he has most recently provided puppetry skills in the film Angelaaa which won Best New Director (Shannon Mcinnis) at the Milwaukee Film Festival. It also went on to win for Best Short and Best Actress (Stephanie Staszak) at the Austin Film Festival. Mark has worked with UWM film students on the project, The Old World and Perpetual Bloom, at MATC. Mark’s first film project was working on the Harley Quinn Web Series in which he played the Batman Villain, Scarecrow. Before this, Mark began at the Imagination Theater in Germantown, WI. During his time there, he acted in three shows; two farces (Run for Your Wife, Drop Dead) and one musical (Into the Woods).

 

Mark uses his experience in the U. S. Navy and encounters with people from all over the world to bring a better understanding and a unique perspective to the roles he takes on.

Lisa Brooks Kendall is a Milwaukee, WI based actress.  She started her acting career in local theatre and moved into film after she had a few commercial opportunities.  Lisa has been featured in several local Indie short films and music videos, and she is also part of a Milwaukee long-form improv group.  Lisa is excited to be a part of this very touching and deeply emotional film.  She lives in Wisconsin with her husband and five fantastic children, and when not acting, Lisa is teaching science to high school students.

Deborah (Deb) Oettinger was born in California to parents with a little gypsy in their souls. She first fell in love with the stage in 8th grade when she got the lead in a one act play called "The Ghost Wore White", and is now following her lifelong dream of pursuing acting as her passion and vocation.

Deanna Culver is from Appleton, WI, and a single mom to 3 daughters, along with having a granddaughter and a grandson. She is an aspiring actor and model with The Belle Agency in Green Bay, WI. 

 

Deanna graduated in 2014 with an Associate Degree in Domestic Violence and Mental Health. She also  enjoys volunteering in my community, and has done so for over 30 years. Further, she had a background roll in the movie GAGS, and is looking forward to many more opportunities to work with amazing people in the industry. 

Jennifer Benson is an actress, solo artist, and founder and lead singer of the rock band from Chicago, IL called Ignescent.  Jennifer is Oscar-nominated and has also been an extra in the movie The Resurrection of Gavin Stone with Brett Dalton who plays Agent Grant Ward on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Neil Flynn who is currently on ABC’s The Middle as Mike Heck. She also lived in Germany for part of her life for 3 years on an Army post. Since 2008, her band, Ignescent, has been primarily touring throughout the Midwest and Nashville area. 
 

Ignescent’s first CD, Electrified, was produced by 4 time Dove Award winning & Grammy Nominated producer Travis Wyrick (10 Years, P.O.D.) and recorded at Lakeside Studios in Knoxville, Tennessee.  The first song on the CD, “Calling Out to You”, was co-written with former lead guitarist of Skillet, Ben Kasica, and hit the top 30 on the Christian Billboard Rock Charts.  Ignescent's 2nd CD was produced by Eric LaBrosse of Cherry Pit Studios.  Their brand new song, "You Got Me", has been played on many radio stations including 95 WIIL Rock.
